About IFS
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a psychotherapy method with a growing evidence base, developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, which is rapidly evolving among psychotherapeutic models and gaining recognition worldwide.
IFS offers a holistic and non-pathologizing understanding of the human mind and, as a therapeutic method, allows the development of therapeutic relationships in which an individual’s wounded parts can experience healing. IFS works well with children, adults, couples, families, and groups.
About us
The Ukrainian Institute of Internal Family Systems (UI IFS) is part of the IFS Institute community and brings together mental health professionals interested in developing the IFS method in Ukraine.
Through its activities, UI IFS aims to convey the transformative power of the IFS model to individuals, professional communities, and communities across Ukraine.
We strive to foster a culture of humanity, respect, and partnership in our professional practice, learning, and communication.

Learning Opportunities
IFS Level 1 Training
Thanks to the support of the Foundation for Self Leadership and volunteers from the international IFS community, official IFS Level 1 training has been offered in Ukraine since 2025.
Registration for the 2026 IFS Level 1 Training in Ukraine (online) is now closed. However, you are welcome to submit an application for the next cohort, tentatively planned for 2027.
Open Events
We invite everyone interested in mental health and the IFS model to join free monthly workshops led by Ukrainian and international IFS practitioners. These meetings provide a fresh perspective on the human inner world, offer valuable knowledge and practical tools, and support the growth and development of the IFS-informed community.
PAUSE for Self-Leadership Training™
P.A.U.S.E. is an IFS-based model adapted for community work. The model was developed by Joanna Carri-Sartori and the Self-Leadership Collaborative (SLC) for children and adults who wish to develop stronger emotional and social regulation skills. This program is recommended for mental health professionals, educators, community leaders, and families who want to learn more about applying IFS in daily life.
The group has been running since October 2023 and serves as a meeting space for Ukrainian colleagues to connect and practice the IFS model. It is a space where we focus on our parts, discuss cases and practical questions under the guidance of experienced IFS practitioners. The language of participation is Ukrainian.
