The Practice and Process of Validation

Validation is a critical aspect of our relationships with partners, children, and the people we interact with daily. It is also a key skill in the work of IFS therapists. Validation forms the foundation of effective therapeutic communication and creates a space of emotional safety, acceptance, and recognition of each part as having a positive intention and playing an important role within the system.

At the same time, we often understand differently what it truly means to validate and how to do it, especially in challenging moments.

We invite you to a seminar with Robin Barr dedicated to the practice of validation within the IFS approach. Robin will present the structured 9-step process of this communication skill that she has developed, which can be integrated into your therapeutic work.
